We have an opportunity to visit Puerto Rico this spring. We are looking for a beautiful beach with restaurants, casino nearby. We love great friendly service when we travel. A friend recommended La Concha Resort? Has anyone been there? Any other recomendations?
Thanks!

We stayed there in November - weather was lousy but the hotel was nice. Beach was NOT nice - adjacent to public park and very noisy with all the public park activities.
Stayed there about a year and a half ago. It's a cool hotel, small casino, kind of a hip, Miami Beach feel. Restaurants close by and many more a short taxi ride to Old San Juan. The beach is okay. I guess you need to define what you consider a "beautiful beach." I wouldn't rate Condado Beach as beautiful but it has sand and warm pretty clear water. Regarding the public park referred to above - it actually is pretty nice but they do hold events there periodically that draw crowds.
Can you tell me what hotels you would recommend? Thanks!
The beach is better in the Isla Verde area of San Juan - and in that area, I recommend the Intercontinental, El San Juan Hotel, or the Ritz Carlton. However, again, I don't know how you define a beautiful beach. The San Juan area is very gbuilt up and metropolitan so you will not get serene, deserted beaches in that area, - there are hotels and condos lining the beaches and the beach gets fairly crowded on weekends with Puerto Rican families. However, the area does meet your other criteria - casinos, restaurants nearby.
