PHL/JFK/BWI to Caribbean Waterfall Hiking, Snorkeling, All Inclusive

Jump to last reply

Need some help finding a destination in our price range that can provide a direct flight from one of the major mid-Atlantic hubs, to a warm, sunny place with great hiking, snorkeling, and an all inclusive resort. This is a honeymoon trip, and its a bit last minute (we aim to go in August.) I don't really want to spend an entire day trying to get someplace, especially during already difficult airways of hurricane season. A connection in Miami or south Florida would be fine if it resulted in a good priced ticket, though.

Budget is about $150-$200 a day for 8 days. Or about $3500 including airfare and meals.

My first thought was St. Johns, but I couldn't find a direct flight, although its a short hop (ferry or plane) from nearby locations. It checks all the boxes except our desire for an all-inclusive. We really don't want to cook or worry about where to go to dinner or how much it costs.

Second thought was St. Lucia. Sandals and a few other resorts down there, direct flights from JFK. Downside? We're having a hard time finding a resort in our budget. $5000 is a bit steep for us.

Jamaica was an interest but we really want to get out of the resort. Mexico would be fine as well.
