Paradise island weather in August

Hi there, I am heading to Paradise Island with my boyfriend at the end of August for 10 days. Does anyone know how the weather is typically around August? Just wondering what we should prepare for weather wise and packing. Thanks!

I think it is safe to say you should be prepared for hot and sticky.

Okay well thank you very much, I was getting a little worried about the Thunderstorms i've heard about in August. So hopefully we wont have many come our way.

There'a always a chance of afternoon showers in the tropics, Paradise Island is no exception. Showers when they do come are often widely scattered and usually very brief.

You probably will get some rain, almost daily but alot of it will be at night, and quite honestly it will be a welcome relief from the heat.

The showers are usually spread out, and I've been on island downtown, when the storm was over Cable Beach just a few miles away and it was sunny were I was and stormy in the distance. Typical for the Bahamas.

Have a GREAT time.

You are also be in the heart of hurricane season. The odds of you getting a hurricane hit at the island you are on, in the days you are there, are slim, however you should know this is the heart of the season
