ocean club unavailable

I want to go to the one and only ocean club in Nassau from april 2 to 9 and there is no availability except 3 nights; are there other avenues for getting a room , through other brokers; a website called Tradewinds showed availability but I don't know them so I'm hesitant to book through them.

What do you do to get a room if they say it is fully booked; keep checking in every day for cancellations ?

Have you considered Pink Sands or Rock House on Harbour Island, but VERY upscale with excellent restaurants onsite and other good restaurants on island.

www.pinksands.com and will find out if there is a website for the newly opened Rock House.

I just checked the internet and found the website for Rock House. The website address is www.rockhousebahamas.com. The resort is beautiful, overlooks the harbour AND for the first time that I have found in the carribean has a HEATED pool. The prices are also very good, and we think we're going to try it our next time to the island.

Hope this helps.

I called every half day since thursday night and managed to get the 7 days I wanted;
dh is intent on going there, he's heard a lot about it.

They get cancellations all the time so I think it's a question of hanging in there and calling back and you might get lucky, specially when you want to reserve at a popular time of the year.

Thank you all for your suggestions; I'll try to have a look while I'm there.
