If you would check previous postings, you will find that Gallows Point always have very positive reviews. It's clean, the on-property staff is great and it is only a walking distance to the Cruz Bay town. There is a pool on the property and also a small rocky beach that good for snorkeling but not swimming. For swimming, try any of the National Park sites (Hawksnest, Trunk Bay, Maho Bay, Francis Bay,etc.). A rental is recommended on St. John so that you may explore and your leisure. At Gallows they aim to please. Have a great stay.
We stayed at Gallows Pointe in November and thought it was wonderful. I wanted a/c so we stayed in a lower unit which had a/c in the bedroom. It was very spacious and clean. The maid came everyday. Lots of mosquitos but if you spray Off each evening before leaving for dinner you won't have much of a problem. Some of the lower units have decks and some just little patios. The decks are much nicer so you may want to request that. Our location was great. We stayed in 2B which was further away from the ferry side which I understand from some people was noisy from the town. We walked home late each evening and felt very safe in the area.
