New Years Eve 1999
Does any one know what's the deal for vacation plans for New Years Eve 1999? According to everyone I speak to, all places are booked solid, but when I tried to make a booking for Boscobel Beach in Ocho Rios, I was informed that they are not even taking reservations yet, and could not even tell me when they plan to open them up. Any suggestions or comments?

Hi Tracy,
My cousin and husband have already booked a cruise for 1999 New Years Eve.... I think that on the ocean would be a really cool place to be with fire works!!! Not sure which cruise line they booked....
but I thought it was a wonderful idea!
If you want to send me mail I can find out what cruise it is...

Sorry ladies..."millenium" cruises have been waitlisted for 2 years now and if you were not on the list you wont get an "invitation" to purchase your cruise at about double the usual prices. For more info check out the discussion group
rec.travel.cruises through www.dejanews.com It's well worth the look. Eleanor P. (who wishes she had though about it years ago!)

Yeah, even if you can FIND anything that is not already booked, be prepared to pay EXTREMELY ridiculous prices!! My fiance and I looked into booking a room in Vegas, and they have a 4-night minimum (at least) at all the hotels, and they wanted $2500 - $3000 per person for 4 nights!!!! I'm staying home; it's cheaper and a lot safer while the rest of the world is out there getting crazy.
