We're hoping to have a large family reunion in Negril next spring. But our previous accommodations- ( Coco La Palm, Charela Inn) won't work for older family members who need really good beds and lots of hot water when they shower.
We don't need or like AIs, but I was wondering if anything new has come on the scene since we were last there a few years ago? Not looking for American-style amenities other than the two listed above. Really prefer small, intimate hotels where we can hang out with locals on the beach.
Thank you very much for your help!
New small hotels or villas in Negril?

I should have said some hot water when they shower. I know from many years to Negril, that consistently hot water in the shower probably isn't happening anytime soon! Thanks!
I stayed at Charela Inn's sister property Le Mirage (but it's up on the Cliffs). Excellent beds and plenty of hot water.
Weadles, You might want to check (if you haven't already) over on Trip Advisor's Negril forum. It's much more active than here.
Are you cheating on TCI?
Still waiting for the trip report, and PS how did your sister do without the dog?
Sorry I can't help you with Negril, I've been there but just to the beach, no accommodations.
Hey Blamona,
HA! Love Turks, but it's sooo expensive, especially when you want to bring other family along! And we all miss the Jamaican culture, vibe.
SIL brought her dog to Turks in November. Everything was fine. No problems at all.
I'm very lazy about trip reports, especially because all I do is walk the beach.... but maybe!
