Planning to go to Nevis in late October and stay at the Four Seasons. Has anyone been recently to give suggestions, opinions, etc. and state of the island after the last hurricane? Any response or opinion would be appreciated! Also will need a night's stay in St. Kitts. Are planning to do rainforest hike, stay the night and then head to Nevis. Any suggestions?

You will have a wonderful stay at the Four Seasons! From what I saw of it, it is a first class establishment. Another place that I have heard is very nice is the Nisbet Plantation (romantic). I have heard that Nevis was not hit as hard as St. Kitts, and should be fine by the time you go. I have also heard that a trip to Miss June's for dinner is a culinary adventure and gives some real "island flavor" as well as wonderful company.
On St. Kitts, I would not hesitate to recommend Ottley's Plantation Inn. It has some of the best food on the island, and the accommodations are wonderful.
They have trails in the rainforest right on their property, and if you want to go elsewhere to hike, they will happily help you. They are off the beaten path - about a 10 minute ride from Basseterre, but I would highly recommend it! You can contact me directly if you would like more info.
Have a great trip!
