Nevis in April
My husband and I are planning a short getaway midApril. Does anyone know what the weather is like in Nevis mid to late April? Not rainy, I hope. We would like to stay at the Four Seasons. Any recommendations on rooms? Where? Second vs. first floor? Thanks.

Weather is essentially the same all year round - daytime temps in the mid-80's F. with occasional very brief and very localized showers. Usually not enough rain to cause you any concern. Four Seasons is a great resort. All rooms are good - not much difference between 1st or 2nd floors other than slightly better views from 2nd floor. I wouldn't worry about it. You main decision is whether you want mountain view or ocean view (personally, I think mountain view is much more spectacular.

We just returned from the FS in Nevis the beginning of February. I don't think there is such a thing as a bad room there. The second floor has a screened in porch which some people have said obstructed their view. We went with a first floor and enjoyed the terrace with it's teak furniture. We loved our walk-in closet and all the other FS amenities. I agree with Sunnyboy that even the mountain view is spectacular and unlike some hotels where you may overlook a parking lot, at FS Nevis, you will overlook a golf course and still have privacy.

Thank you both. I was a little worried, because a couple of years ago we went to Jamaica at the end of May-it rained the entire week! I bellman at the hotel told us it rains the last week of May every year-don't know if that's true, but we don't want to repeat that experience.
