Negril questions
A few questions - Any advice on transport from MBJ airport to Negril? My hotel can send a car for $80 each way, which I really don't want to pay. I found another option for $69. Anyone know of cheaper options? Are there shared shuttles for less?
Also, how do I get from seven mile beach to the town center or to bloody bay? Can I just hail a bus or route taxi anywhere?
And are mayfield falls or Y.S recommended? All the waterfalls in Jamaica look a bit like amusement parks.

Yes there are shared shuttles for less. I used Clives, worked beautifully. http://www.clivestransportservicejamaica.com/
hmmm... I can't think that I ever saw a public bus?
Yes I used the shared "route taxi" system (I stayed on the Cliffs but went into town most days for grocery shopping at Hi-Lo and to use an internet cafe).
Sorry never done anything outside Negril like tours or waterfalls.

Depending where you stay on Seven Mile Beach, you can easily walk into town. Or, ask the hotel to get you a cab. At night, you will want to take a cab into town or the restaurants on The West End. I DO NOT recommend walking to them. Your hotel should be able to easily arrange this for you. Some restaurants offer roundtrip transportation, but you need to ask.
There is a taxi stand across the street from Idle Awhile, but you can also try to flag down a taxi on the street.
Bloody Bay is at one end of Seven Mile Beach. Again, you can either walk there if you are close, or take a cab.
