need nice hotel near Kingston for 2 nights
I have to overnight it in Kingston for 2 nights..coming from Mo Bay.
My husband and I would like a nice quiet hotel preferably close to a beach not too far from the airport. .. no further than say an hour away
Does anyone have any advice for us?
we like small quaint places but will stay in larger places too.

Well, it's not near the beach, but I think the nicest hotel near Kingston is Strawberry Hill, just up the hill/mountain from Kingston. i think the website might be www.islandoutposts.com

I saw Strawberry Hills. wow is all I can say.
I would love to stay there but it is a little over our budget.
Is there anything maybe in the Blue Mountains? like at the entrance.. something very natural and pretty but not too far from the airport?

Now as always I miss Sasha Davidson's invaluable advice. <sigh>
Unless you want to go all the way to Porty, which is much more than an hour away, I don't know of anything near Kingston that will have the charm you're used to AND be near a beach. Sorry!
I'd love to visit Strawberry Hill one day--it looks simply dreamy!

Hotel choices for Kingston are rather limited. I second the Strawberry Hill option if you can fit it in your budget. If not, this place might be an option for you.

It gets good reviews on trip advisor.
I don't know that there is even a beach in or near Kingston, so I think you need to cross that amenity off your list.

Possibly do search on Tivertonhouse. Sasha had to answer this question at some point.
This place is in the Blue Mountains and priced reasonably:

For the record, one of my dream trips is to stay at Strawberry Hill.

I am working on that.Maybe I can stay one extra day but I need to fly into Kingston a day early before my flight home because I cannot make the connection in time. so at the very least I will need one night in Kingston.

In Kingston - I would not even be thinking about being near the beach. They have a cement factory near there, and the water is quite horrible, you go around the inlet with the cement factory as you drive from the airport to Kingston - and the beaches were not pretty. I would try to stay in Mo Bay for an extra day, then just find a reasonable place in Kingston. I go there on business - I don't recommend the Pegasus, but I have been told that there are not many good, SAFE options in Kingston. I'm trying the Hilton next time I go.....
