Need info on Treasure Cay Bahamas

Need info on Treasure Cay Bahamas
Planning a family vacation on Treasure Cay. We are a family of 10, 7 adults, 3 children under 5. Thinking a rental house would be wise. I want to be on a calm beach as the little ones will be in the water. Any suggestions on a quiet calm beach would be helpful. We are hoping to go in late Nov. Any comments on the weather at that time of year would be helpful. Thanks!

Although I have been to the Abacos quite a few times, I only stayed one night in TC when my plane was delayed due to bad weather (after being on GTC many years ago) and I got a last minute room at the TC resort/marina.
I will tell you though that you can find very helpful advice on the Abaco forum at www.abacoforum.com - there is "new member" forum and a more active "main discussion" forum.
Also, did you check vrbo.com and homeaway.com for TC homes for rent?

We stayed at the below two bedroom house a couple of years ago during thanksgiving week. One our most memorable and relaxing vacations (and we've travelled extensively including in the out islands). The weather was great...sea temp could have been a couple degrees warmer for me (my husband thought it was fine). The house obviously is too small for your needs but wanted to throw it out there. As mentioned earlier VRBO has many listings. The beach in front of this house was calm and suitable for young kids (clear blue water and white sand). I believe it was Winward beach.The main beach ofcourse is Treasure Cay beach (one the top 10 beaches in the world). I've added a link to a map as well that you may find useful.

Ishkibbl is absolutely right about The Abaco Forum, they are wonderful people who love the place they visit/live in.
Each area of The Abacos is very different in terms of culture but all share the absolutely stunning seascapes.
We visited TC from Elbow Cay.
Elbow is quite simply my favourite place in the world, I would dispair If anyone visited and had reason to moan. TC has the greatest beach I have ever seen and I have visited hundreds, it is our obsession. The shallow depth and sandy bottom which extends out over 5 miles results in colours that you would not believe possible. It would be perfect for families.
However, the resort lacks any social feel outside the activity at the resort and there a few shops/ land based attractions. If you want to just laze about the beach, it is perfect. If you would like more activity I would look at one of the other Cays.

We just returned from Treasure Cay again and rented another villa on Treasure Cay beach. It's a great area for young kids as the water is so calm. You would be walking distance to Coco Beach Bar which has umbrellas, volleyball and outdoor and indoor dining with casual food that happens to be pretty good.
We took a taxi from the airport and had a golf cart waiting for us at the villa which was nice. It's so relaxing tooling around in the golf cart. We also rent a boat for our visit so that we can visit the local cays - Green Turtle and Great Guana. They offer more charm for us than TC but we enjoy them all for different reasons.
I've found our lodging on vrbo dot com and they have had very good locations and selections. The places we've rented would not be large enough to recommend for your group but you shouldn't have a problem finding what you need.
We've not been during November so I cannot help on the weather aspect.

It is always interesting to see how people's experiences differ.
I thought the food at Coco Beach Bar was quite simply on a par with the Hilton in Luxor as the worst food that I had ever tasted.

Granted, it wasn't great but it was so much better than pizza night and a nice dinner at Spinnaker at the marina. That was truly awful.

Best way to get from Nassau to TC is by small plane try Abaco air, Bahamas Air or Sky Bahamas.
The beach there is one of the best in the world for colour but there is very little non US culture, for a more diverse experience try Elbow Cay, Man O War Cay or Green turtle Cay.
