Nassau

On January 14, 2013 I had a necklace ripped of my neck in Nassau near Nassau yacht haven marina on Bay Street while sitting in a cab at 9am. My bad that I forgot to take it off but still shouldn't have happened. I reported this incident to the police and they took a report but nothing ever came of it. Ironically I bought that necklace in Nassau in 1986 and since I never took it off I forgot to that morning. I've been traveling to Nassau since 1964 and crime has increased tremendously especially in the last 5 years. If going there, don't wear any jewelry and I wouldn't even carry a purse. Street crime is rampant and law enforcement is not up to USA standards.

The out islands of the Bahamas are great and I've never had any issues there.
