My 35th Birthday In October With Just Me And My Homegurl

Hi everyone thanks in advance for replying... Its my 35th birthday in October and I want to go away in the carribeans... U can say its like my really first getaway vacation as an adult and I'll be going with my homegurl so atleast I wont be by myself...
My bday is the 18th of October which falls on a Tuesday so Im leaning on going October 14 Friday - Oct 20 Thursday... I wanted something along $1000 or so for hotel and flight to Jamaica but after seeing negril one stop site, I want to experience that but still in a nice looking resort and not just any home made into a hotel like an air bnb... I was obviously looking at all inclusive and not have to worry about spending any more money either... If so what sites would have good deals to buy my trip...
Also I dont want to be caught in a hurricane season either... All I want is sun sun sun and an awesome night life where us gurls can party, have a safe and great time and even maybe get lucky with some Bob Marley if u catch my drift... Please help me find a Great Birthday Celebration Trip!!!!! ☺️

Negril is a great idea, and Negril One Stop is the best website to use.

I've been to Negril 3 times but have never stayed at an All Inclusive so can't help with that recommendation.

I depends what you mean by "good time".

Are you just talking about some food and drinks? Or do you want to do a lot of tours, go out on boats, have spa treatments, rent a car, hire a driver, do lots of shopping, etc.

If you just want to hang out on the beach, are willing to eat local style, do at least some of your eating & drinking from what you buy a the Hi-Lo grocery store... you could easily get by on $50/day USD per person.

But if you want a more high-end vacation, I'm sure you could blow $100+ per day per person.

Oh wow ok that does not sound bad. Its my first time traveling so I am really leaning on an all inclusive for my first trip to jamaica. Next time when I go I'll try staying at a small boutique in Negril.

Do you know if October is a good month to go to Jamaica? My worry is the hurricane season. I don't want to be caught in rain on my vacation.

The fun I'm looking for is drinks, food, music and dancing thats within the resort or not to far off the resort. I would like to do excursions maybe ride on a boat or swim with the dolphins. I really want to stay on a budget thats why I was thinking of all inclusive and spend like $1000 or so, that way I don't have to think about money.

Sorry I just can't help you with AI resorts that feature entertainment on the property, etc. I've never done anything like that. I stay at hotels or apartments and do my own thing (most often in Puerto Vallarta Mexico but a other trips I've been to Negril, Hawaii, etc.)

For what you describe wanting, instead of Jamaica, I would recommend Mexico. Either coast. There's lots of AI's along the Mayan Riviera (the Caribbean coast of Mexico) that are more reasonably priced than what you'll find in the Caribbean (more bang for your buck).

October is still the tail end of rainy season pretty much everywhere (Caribbean, coastal Mexico, etc.). So will be more hot, humid, possibility of rain, than if you could wait until later. Best weather typically is high-season, say Dec thru May.

I would go with Barbados or the Grenadines.

Barbados from what I have learnt has some of the best SAFE party/ night life. Especially with a college with a high number of Caribbean students you get the diversity of the Caribbean party style. Barbados is more on the flat side so most of the tour/ excursions that are worth-your-while would be beach related.

The Grenadines sort of remind me of the Maldives/ Bora Bora. Very beautiful islands doting beautiful turquois waters with a lot to explore. Some islands are teaming with life while others are great places to chill and relax. Plus they're further south in the Caribbean, so I would say further away from the 'normal' hurricane path.

So you can check those out to see if they appeal to you. I have heard some AWESOME things about Jamaica so that's definitely an option. Just don't venture too far from the more touristy stuff because it can get dangerous.

Lanmen, Have you been to Jamaica (as far as the "it can get dangerous" comment)?
