Mother daughter trip
I am looking for a nice, reasonably priced place to bring my daughter for her 21st birthday. Originally I was looking at Iceland, but the cost was too expensive for 3 nights and 4 days. I am now looking at Bermuda. What are your thoughts? We will be traveling late May early June. Thank you

One of my favorite memories of my time with my mom is our trips to Bermuda. She loved it and I never go back without thinking of her. I hope your trip will be great fun. If you are interested in being on the beach, check out Coco Reef, Pompano Beach and Surfside. If you prefer to be in Hamilton (very easy access by public transportation to the beach) check out the Rosemont, Edgehill Manor Guest House and Rosedon. If you would like to be mid island (again, easy access by ferry to Hamilton and public transportation to the beach, although I often walk it) Fourways is a nice property.
Do check the packages available from your airline as many offer good options.
Happy travels!

I wouldn't say Bermuda is a "reasonably priced" destination but the airfare would be much cheaper than airfare to Iceland. It would be a very nice place for a mother – daughter trip though. My sister and I have gone with my mom to Bermuda the past two years. June would be better weather than May, imo. Water temps could still be a bit chilly in May.

Thanks all. I have seen some specials through USAIR and through another site with the Fairmont Hamilton and Cambridge hotels listed. I will look into the above mentioned as well. I am not familiar with Bermuda and do not know what would be the best location on the island for this trip. Any suggestions?? Again thanks for your replies

Picking your base will depend in part on your interests. If you want to be able to walk to shops and restaurants, go with Hamilton. If you want a very sleepy, but historical and charming small town, pick St. George. If you want to be on the beach, I think South Shore locations are best.
Bermuda is only twenty one miles long and a mile wide. You can get around very easily on public transportation. I am no longer recommending scooters, they are simply too dangerous under the conditions now.
Take a look at Bermuda's facebook page. Lots of gorgeous photos there to set the mood.
