Montigo Bay Jamaica Half Moon Bay West End Cottages beach question

Can anyone tell me about the beach and water in Sunset Bay in front of the West Cottages. I have heard reports of the following

-very windy beach

-Choppy water

-Sea urchins in the water (I know they are on the rocks but are they in the sandy part of the water)

-a lot of seaweed and debris in the water (and if this is true which end of the beach does it tend to drift to)

Also which is the best end of the cottages to stay in (East or West) to avoid the wind
