I would definitely pick Aruba, it's relaxing and great for families. I had a great time.

Have been to both Aruba and Curacao. Stayed at the Marriott on Curacao not on Aruba. As far as the islands go there is more to do for families on Aruba but the best snorkeling was definitely on Curacao (you must have a car because there are coves all over top of the island. As far as the beaches go Aruba is better. Also food better on Aruba. I would go back to either in a minute.

We loved the Marriott hotel in Curacao. The rooms have a great motif and are quite large, as are the bathrooms.
Your kids would love the seaquarium, with it's sharks, flamingo's and starfish.
