Majestic Elegance or Dreams Palm Beach

I'll be heading to Punta Cana this summer with my wife and 3 sons (ages 21, 24 and 26). Can anyone provide recommendations of one over the other. I'm looking for a premium resort but with enough activities for the boys. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

I stayed at the Majestic Elegance 2 weeks ago and loved it. The resort is beautifully manicured..the rooms are big and clean...they had volleyball tourney's and other activities during the day....you can walk on the beach for miless...they had a nightclub (I didn't go)..it's adjacent to the majestic colonial...you can taxi over to the hard rock (huge casino) for cheap....I would suggest upgrading to the majestic elegance club....if you have specific questions, let me know.

booking.com reviews both are fine Hard Rock new more action at
puntacana.com but either very close so you will be fine regardless. luxrylink.com also good deals for me there sometimes.

Happy Hunting!

The Elegance Club has 3 lounges/with patios- 2 of them are at the ends of the buildings by/on the beach. They are always stocked with snacks/beverages...always manned with a concierge that will make dinner reservations for you..have a newspaper delivered to your room..and they have computers with free WiFi...the elegance club buildings have a roof top patio with a great views with happy hour each evening.........in addition, there are a couple of buildings that are Elegance Club only..- including the 2 closest to the beach....which I would suggest you request so you are not by the lobby/entertainment area which can get a bit noisy...I would book jr suites swim up rooms...the pools run the length of the building....or they have a majestic swim up room with 2 bathrooms - 2 separate rooms, the room is huge...I would also get building 1 if you could..I was in building 3 and it was great...either of the 2 buildings closest to the beach would be my suggestion. You are supposed to get upgraded amenities in your room, and a pillow menu...that meant nothing to me......if you have more questions, please feel free to keep them coming.....ps, I read on Trip Advisor a lot that people were upgraded automatically if you want to take that chance....we decided to pay for it since we went in high season.....oh yea...there is a private area on the beach where a bartender will take your drink order...and the Elegance Club has the bali beds by the pool/patio that you can lounge on.....

Great! I forgot...one of the restaurants is for Elegance Club only (french)...they have 5 restaurants..french, italian, japanese (including sushi), steakhouse, and buffet....we ate at all of them....the food is good..I wouldn't say excellent, but good....in the lobby bar, the bartender William makes GREAT drinks....martinis, margaritas, mojitos....if you are a wine drinker, we drank mimosas every day...the table wine is okay...you can order (pay for) other wines if you want...we did once at the french restaurant....
