It seems as if many people love Grenada! I don't know anyone who has been there nor do I know much about it. Can anyone summarize what I might experience if I went there? (climate, environment, people, food, accommodations, etc.) Thanks!

Jen, I have been to Grenada in 1997. We
stayed in a local persons house for two nights and then stayed 5 nights in an upscale all inclusive, Lasource. We loved grenada! The people are very friendly and ladies seemed to be shy. It
is a very colorful town and we enjoyed the outdoor maket and the Caranage. While roaming about the town, we were approched be a likeable local guy by the name of GEM. He offered to be our tour guide for the day, we had breakfast together, and his idea of a "tour" was to hitch hike us around the entire island, with stops for lunch and visiting schools and churches. We went to the rain forest, lake and saw may waterfalls. This was a very safe and fun day that we really enjoyed. My suggestion would be to negotiate the rate prior, at the end of the day I offered him 25.00{ I also paid for breakfast and lunch} and he seemed a little offended. The rates for food and drink are expensive, the hotel options
are varied. I would recommend an all inclusive, we loved LaSource. Check flight times, AA has limited their service to Grenada.E Mail me if you like at LP_carlsontravel@annapolis.net. Good luck!
