We are looking for a direct flight getaway and have been to the Carribean many times. Looking for a good location, laid back atmosphere, nothing fancy just a good value in a beautiful spot. Any comments? Anyone been to Timothy beach since Christmas? Thanks.
Looking at Timothy Beach, Anyone been there lately?

We just got back from a week in St. Kitts---stayed at Timothy Beach. Good location, nice hotel, right on the beach. Would stay there again, our room was large, comfortable king-size bed, balcony overlooking Caribbean sunsets, friendly helpful staff, restaurant good but not great...rent you car from AVIS, they have brand new cars, good customer service. Snorkeling OK, not as nice as other places we've been (St. John) nice beach at South Friars Beach is great. it's nearby. Turtle Beach OK but not as nice (lots of seagrass.) Go over to Nevis for a day trip, Botanical Gardens, eat grilled lobster at Sunshines, right on Pinney Beach next to 4 Seasons: best meal I've ever had, no joke...I'm 51 yrs old. Ballyhoo, great restaurant, ate there often (especially breakfast) Fishermans Wharf and Marshalls both good too. Sprat Net, great place with great food, BBQ ribs, lobster etc...live music. Rain forest hike was lots of fun, we saw lots of different birds, including colorful hummingbirds.
YES Timothy Beach Resort was good. Not a resort, really. But a good value, and a nice clean comfortable place to stay. We were very happy there.
Pete:
Thanks for the good info! Sounds like Timothy and St. Kitts are what we are looking for for the price. Anyone else?
