Little Dix trip

We're going to Little Dix in '02, in mid January, and have been there only on a day trip previously. Any suggestions regarding room choice, which end of the beach, rooms to avoid due to noise, proximity to the beach itself? We'll be flying from San Juan to the island, any comments about this?
