I will be spending Thanksgiving on Guadeloupe. 3 days at the Meridien and 4 on Les Saintes. Any up dated information would be appreciated. One concern on Les Saintes is "Scooter only" access to the island. How limited is access to beaches if you only use a bike. Are scooters difficult to use?
Thanks in advance.

Its kind of a hard island to get around. There are some taxis but we were in town for hours one day and could not get one. We even had some shop-keepers call for us and none ever came. Scooters are not difficult to drive, and they are built for 2, but I would not ride with a passenger as the roads are winding, etc and it would be dangerous. In town scooters are prohibited from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM also. You really can walk most places.
Also, have you made hotel reservations? Where are you staying?
Hi,
Yes we have a reservation at the Auberge.
thank you
