Last minute questions about Hawksbill - leaving in 2 days

I have heard that there is a dress code at dinner time.
Is it true that men cannot wear sandals as I read that in somebody's post?
For Antigua - do I need a long sleeve shirt in the evening because of coolness?
At Hawksbill has anyone been successful using their internet connection for either email or voice over interenet to the U.S. and if so what were the charges?
Thanks for any quick help you can give me.

I visited Hawksbill back in 2002, so it may not be up to date, but the only dress code for dinner was no shorts, no jeans, no t-shirts--so collared shirts for men, slacks, dresses, or skirts for women. Nothing was mentioned about shoes, but as long as the sandals aren't flipflops I'm sure they'd be fine.

I always take a long sleeve something--either cardigan or tunic style blouse--when I travel just in case I get chilly. Don't recall specifically if I used it at Hawksbill, but I was there in November.

Hope you enjoy yourself. The beaches there are beautiful--I especially liked the privacy and beauty of the clothing optional one. There are lots of wonderful beaches and restaurants elsewhere on the island, though, so I hope you get out to explore it a little bit. I just love Antigua!

Antigua tends to be a little more formal on the dress side for dinner. I stayed at Hawksbill two years ago and the dress code for men was collared shirts, long pants and closed shoes. I am sure that no one would refuse you if you wore sandals but sandals with long pants are not as suitable.

ejcrowe thanks for your response. I ASSUME YOU did not use internet when you were at Hawksbill or perhaps they did not have it available- I enjoy reading your many posts-you are very informed-Caribe Ian- I really remember reading several posts perhaps not on Fodors about closed shoes for men-but like you said with long pants it would not be my first choice- thanks for replying

I don't believe they were offering an ethernet option when we stayed there, but we didn't have a computer with us anyway. Unless I'm traveling for bidness I try not to take my laptop with me. Hope you have a wonderful time!
