Lamb's House Rental - Nevis
We're considering Lamb's House rental for our first visit to Nevis. Location on a hill above Quaile Beach. Looks and sounds wonderful but would love feedback from those of your familiar with the island. Thanks!

Possibly it would help if I included a link to the rental we're considering:

We're thinking about renting the main house. Any info regarding location, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

The location is convenient but I have no knowledge of the house itself. You might try posting your question on the www.nevisforum.com.

I like it!
We also rented a house just above Oalie Beach, however the description from the website you posted names Cades as the beach you are closest to. Either way, from the look of the pictures, I am guessing it is a steep walk to the nearest beach, but I could be wrong. I think the location is good - fairly close to restaurants and town, and the house looks gorgeous.
How many are in your party? If only two, I'd see if they'll rent you just the cottage, not the main house. It looks adorable and has its own jacuzzi.
Did you see the reviews on Trip Advisor (especially the second one)? Very thorough:

We rented a nice house above Oalie, no air conditioning (won't matter in the winter), a smaller place, but a lower price:

Thanks for the input. Just two of us traveling -- but, from what I understand they don't rent just the cottage - but you can rent the cottage in addition to the house. I agree the house looks wonderful! Thanks for the link to trip advisor.
We will be traveling in the summer so air conditioning is important to us.
While Nevis was never on my "must see" list (because of limited snorkeling opportunities) -- the more I research it the more excited I get about visiting this unique island!

Lamb's Cottage is small but nicely furnished. It's located on the hillside with a nice view of the Caribbean and it's in a quiet location. It's not really within walking distance of any beach (the hill leading up to the cottage is fairly steep) unless you enjoy taking strenous long uphill hikes so plan on renting a car. You'll need the car if you want to explore the island and dine out at any of the restaurants.
