any comments about this place (good or bad)? Any must do's while we are there or things we gotta see? We are headed there in jan. 2010 through our time share and are curious as to what everyone else thinks.
thanks..

Not familiar with the hotel except it's on Eagle Beach and it's time share. I think part of the hotel you must cross the street to get to the beach. Check Trip Advisor for reviews and pictures.
I would recommend a jeep tour with ABC, snorkeling with Mi Dushi, Tranqillo or Octapus, sunset sail and beach dinner with De Palm. A day trip to De Palm Island for snorkeling and beaching it, a beach hopping tour with De Palm, bar hopping tour on the KUKOO KUNUKU bus, there are water sports stations set up on Palm Beach. Look at Red Sail or Pelican Adventures, try out the beach bars and restuarants, do some shopping in downtown Aruba, go to the Butterfly Farm and walk around the shopping/entertaimment area on Palm Beach across from all the hotels just to name a few.
The LaCabana was built over 20 years ago as a time share. So all the units have kitchens, living room/dining room and bedroom and bath. It is a large property - about 800 rooms. You have to cross the road to get to the beach, but once you do that you are on a beautiful large sandy beach. We stayed there several years ago. There is a large pool in the front section and two smaller pools in the back section. One has a slide. From the back section it is a five minute walk to the small casino. You will be in Aruba, so how bad could it be!!!!!!
