KIDS,Did I make a mistake???

Hi Everyone,

I am a first time poster and really need your expert help. I just booked a room at the Bougainvillea Resort in Barbados in August. I think I made a huge mistake. I read the reviews on trip adivsor and it seems like there are a lot of kids there. We are going on our honeymoon and neither of us have children. It's not that we don't like kid, it's just that we do not want any. My question is, do you think we can have a romantic honeymoon there? Do the kids have their own pool or are they swimming with the adults? Are there enough adult only areas? I'm nervous now about this place. My travel agent said that there a not a lot of kids there but I don't know if she is telling us the truth. A friend of mine told me about this website so I thought I'd ask the experts. Please give me your honest opinion.....we want our honeymoon to be special.

Thank you so very much!

Maybe this question is out of line, but why would you book with a travel agent that you cannot believe is telling the truth???

I am not going to question why you would booked with a particular travel agent. You obviously thought that you could trust her recommendation and are now questioning it, which is fine. While not a travel agency, a lot of people thought they could trust Enron with their future and have lost everything! Truth be told, there are some travel agents that seem very honest but push particular hotels, packages etc. based on incentives, commissions, etc. You are right to ask questions and post on a forum like this. Believe me, there are people here who really do want to help and not judge you. There is a poster on this board who is AWESOME! Her name is Lois and I would seek advice from her if I were you. She helped me tremendously! Good luck!!
