July 2013 vacation-condo on Seven Mile Beach & Atlantis questions

I've been researching and planning our summer trip this year for the 4 of us including two teenage boys ages 16 and 20. We will go end of July. I have come up with spending 3 days/4 nights at Atlantis (probably Coral Towers and getting 2 connecting rooms) and then on to Cayman Islands for 6 nights and renting a condo ON seven mile beach.
My questions:
1. Should I get the meal plan while in Atlantis? Everything I read and hear warns me how expensive the food is there. I think we want to stay at Atlantis not nearby. I looked into Harborside to get the kitchen but seemed too expensive. Is it worth paying that to get kitchen? We have no problem making breakfast in the room everyday. Is 2-rooms at Coral Towers the best way to get kids their own bed? Which is the way to go to not end up spending $$$$ on food for 3 days...food plan or no food plan? Where to stay?

2. On Seven Mile Beach I really want a nicely kept 2-bedroom condo directly on the beach, probably a central location so that we can walk to grocery and restaurants, great sandy beach with water sports/snorkeling available. Probably want to spend $300-$400 a night. I have looked at Plantana, Regal Beach Club, Villas of the Galleon. Really like Plantana...what are your recommendations.
