Looking at going to the above resort in March of this year. Has anyone been there recently that can comment on the resort, and the golf course on site.

We were there in Dec of 1997 (3+ years ago). We enjoyed the resort - the food was good but not a tremendous amount of variety. The atlantic beach had nice waves to body surf, etc. There was also a Carib. side beach which looked nice but too serene for us. When visiting St. Kitts you must remember that it is not very 'built up' which for us was a plus - but it also means not much night life, etc. If you are expecting Cancun type activities, etc. don't go...We took some awesome day trips - got a guide to ourselves for a hike into the rainforest.
Robin,
I was at the JTV on St. Kitts in October of 1999 and had a great time. We found the food to be very good and quite varied for the buffet. There is also an a la carte restaurant. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. Most of the staff were great to deal with. We're not golfers but we talked to several people who had golfed and they seemed to be enjoying themselves -- although they did comment on the heat. Golf carts are mandatory for that reason.
We went to St. Kitts 3 years ago but only stayed 2 days because my husband became ill. However the other folks that went with us, a large group had a really good time. In fact they are there right now and will watch the super bowl at one of the spots in Basatiere(sp?) The food in all-inclusives are pretty much the same-not very inspiring, but I'm a cook by trade so probably not alittle fussy. You should definitely take the catamaran trip to Nevis. Our gang went and loved it. They plan to do it again.
