Is Westin Grand Cayman a good spot for summer vacation with older teens?

We are thinking about spending 6 days at the westin in grand cayman with our 17 and 15 year old kids and looking for input or other recommendations for active beach vacations with older teens.

Thanks so much!

Hi robcor. I think with teens you might be better off staying in a condo (more room, extra bathroom, kitchen, washer/dryer) and some places won't cost all that much more than the Westin and will have activities as well. Check this website out: http://www.caymanvacations.com/gccondos.shtml
It lists the places along 7 mile beach, shows pics, prices, everything. You can eat a few meals/drinks in and save a little money. I'm personally looking at Discovery Point. I want to go to Grand Cayman so bad! It looks SO beautiful.

Try Plantana, it's nxt door to the Westin so you could have the condo and the teens could still have the westin to rent/participate in watersports.

We stayed at the Marriott GC when our kids were 13-15 years old. We were using points. I know the Westin had a larger complex than the Marriott. GC is a great island to bring teens. It has a ton of watersports. My kids parasailed, jetskied, scubadived and snorkeled with the stingrays. The only thing I did besides take pictures of them doing all this, was snorkel with the stingrays.
It has good food on the island and it is a relaxing atmosphere. We walked the beach nightly home from dinner and so did many other families. I think this would be a good island choice for families with teens.

We just got back last month from Westin & loved it. Has plenty for teens to do. We did say that when we go back with our kids, we would definitely stay at a condo. Plantana was actually the one that we eyed as best location & price. We LOVED Grand Cayman & can't wait to go back with whole family. Very safe, walked to everything. Used dive shop across street from Westin for stingray city tour which was best experience of the trip.
