Is Cuba cold in December?

We'd like to some fun in the sun at Xmas, but it says it can dip as low as 15 degrees in the north of the island. Has anyone been at Xmas time? Will I get hot weather?

We were in Havana a couple years ago the first part of December. It was pleasant, but I wouldn't call it beach weather. But, I'm cold blooded and want HOT weather. I'm guessing the temps were mid 20's.

its not cold at all. growing up in the caribbean we had cold spells sure but i remember scuba diving on my birthday (Dec 26). it might not be sweaty hot but if youre coming from anywhere cold youll be warm. i think if you bring a sweater at night you;ll be fine. daytime highs will be 78/80

I've been in Cuba many times over Christmas / New Years and have only really had one cold year where day time temps were in the 16 to 18 range. But I've also had 2 years where temps were over 30C (south coast). But on average, I'd say you can expect days of 23C to 27C and nights of 17C to 20C. For me, this is very pleasant travel weather... and it's so much nicer knowing there is snow on the ground back home.

It is usually warm, but the thing is, you can't say for sure. You aren't guaranteed warm weather like the islands further south.
It's like taking a risk on Florida in Dec. IT's usually nice, but it's been known to have a cold snap.

DR might be a better choice for good weather.
