We were at LaLuna in 2004 before the hurricane hit. Not sure exactly what the status of the property is now. The cottages were very nice. The beach was good, relatively private, very calm and clear waters, though not great snorkeling. As you probably know, Grenada does not have powdery soft, white-sand beaches, but LaLuna's was still fine. The service at the hotel was good. The food was good, but not great and was fairly expensive. We were not on the meal plan and went to several other restaurants--most for dinners. LaLuna is somewhat isolated, so if you don't have a car, it is a bit of a trek to get to places. We very much enjoyed the island and would return to Grenada and to LaLuna. Let me know if you have more questions.
La Luna is set straight onto a beach and is good for swimming.
No problems with service but everything is pricy. Would recommend hiring a car or jeep to go out exploring both the sites and some of the different restaurants on offer.
