Planning a trip to Guadeloupe in early Jan. Staying in Le Moule condo. Any information on moderate priced restaurants? Specific beaches to visit? Good day trips? (probably will have an auto), food markets? My French is poor to lacking. How is the snorkeling? Where are the best locations?

It has been many years since I was in Guadeloupe, however you WILL want to have a car. It the two sides of the island have much to offer. The beaches are different on the Atlantic and Caribbean sides. (I don't remember which is which, but one has surf, the other is tranquil.) We stayed at Le Meridian near St. Anne (I think) and it was quite charming. Walked to town where there were only a couple of restaurants which were very personable.
Drove up to the volcano, saw black sand beaches as well as white and pink.
John, I, too, am staying at a Le Moule condo in Jan. I haven't had any luck at all finding info about Le Moule restaurants or sites. Let me know what you've found. Thanks.
