Info on Gibara or Holguin

I will be traveling to Gibara, Cuba in Feb.
This is my first time in Cuba. Can anyone give me any information about this town or Holguin? What to do and see? Recomendations or input on anything in Cuba that I should know? I will be staying with some family members, who I have never met and do not know what to expect.
