We are staying in Grand Case in February. I found a cottage on VRBO.com that is right on the beach. It is small and not extravagant but my hope is that it will be clean and safe. The person renting is villa lady. Has anyone ever heard of this person or this rental?

If it is the small, white, one bedroom with a shared veranda, we stayed there in July for a few nights and it was fine. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but great location and had all amenities that we needed for a relaxing stay. It was clean and the area is safe as long as you take the necessary precautions you would anywhere else.
I actually liked that it was not right on GC Boulevard, but rather just behind the house of another family (very nice folks, by the way). Easy access to the beach, great restaurants nearby, and also some night life. Parking can be difficult, but you'll mainly walk in GC and only use the car to leave the area.
I've been staying in GC off and on for 16 years since I live on a neighboring island, and with so many of our previously rented places being used for permanent residences now we were glad to find this hidden little gem for a quiet getaway now and then.
Also, The Villa Lady was very easy to work with considering we rented last minute. Everything was as advertised.
Thanks for the info. You never know when you find a "hidden gem" whether is truly is or not.
Not sure which cottage this is, as link only takes to main page. Have you got a name for the cottage?
Grand Case is fab though and you'll love it there.
