Info about Lorient Beach on St Barths

Could someone tell me a little about Lorient Beach on St Barths? We are thinking of renting a villa right on the Beach and was wondering if that would be a good beach to be on. We're not familiar with it's location. Is it pretty? the water calm? rough? Which way does it face?...is it popular? Close to town?......etc.
