I was there in March. What specifically would you like to know? I'll give you some general information and then feel free to ask what I didn't cover.
First of all, we would go back in a heartbeat. We had tried to book one of the Couples resorts in Negril but they were booked solid. The travel agent was actually surprised there was still availablility at the Grand although I think it ultimately filled up.
The food and service were both top notch. The breakfast buffet was really good. Lots of choices. They had lunch set up on the beach on most days we were there (we went in high season so I'm not sure they would do this as often in the off-season). The lunch BBQ always included those wonderful kobe hamburgers, jerk chicken, delicious Jamaican meat patties, and they also had lobster almost every day. I heard more than one person exclaim they didn't realize they could get tired of lobster! We ate in a themed restaurant every night (there are 4) so we never did try the dinner buffet. We also went to a couple of the restaurants in the other Iberostars but I don't think they were as good as the Grand restaurants.
The stretch of beach is pretty nice. Not the best beach I've been to but certainly not the worst either. There were only gentle waves. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. In March when they were full you did need to "reserve" your spot by about 7:00 if you wanted the front row. I think if you wanted to have a pool-side chair you needed to be there earlier than 7:00. We prefer the beach and didn't mind if we didn't have a front row.
We went to the entertainment almost every night. It was better than we expected and the musicians/singers they brought in to the lounge-type bars were superb. We also hit the disco a couple of nights. It is open to all 3 resorts and was definitely a hot spot.
The Grand really is serious when they say adults only. They wouldn't let anyone under 18 (identified by the color of your wristband) even walk on the Grand section of beach.
I hope this has answered some of your questions. Let me know if you have others.
Thank You. That's the info I was looking for.
