How would you compare Grenada to St. Martin?

Jump to last reply

How similar are Grenada and St. Martin? The topography and quality of the beaches appears similar from photos, and Grand Anse beach reminds me of Grand Case. Would those be fair comparisons? I have a feeling the variety/quality of the restaurants are not as good on Grenada. How does the shopping compare?

Although it's a beautiful island, we didn't love St. Martin. We felt like it was very crowded, a little seedy in parts, and were warned several times while there by locals and other tourists to watch out for pickpockets, etc. We were living in the Morningside Heights area of Manhattan at the time, so we're aware crime happens and you have to be vigilant, but we still didn't feel safe in SXM. With that background info, do you think we would like Grenada?

Where would you stay on Grenada?
