how long does it take to disembark cruise ship?
The cruise ship arrives in San Juan at 7am, and we would like to catch a flight at 10:50am. Do we have enough time to go through customs and get to the airport?

We had to remind them the night before when we had an early flight. Don't take anything for granted. Make sure the are aware of your flight time. We were taken off the ship before they even began to call any people for the debarkation.

fionn5-- NO, you do not have enough time to go thru customs , travel to the airport , checkin and get thru security....
You will be doing an international flight and the airport needs 2 hrs prior to FLIGHT for security checkin...
You should book a flight that leaves AFTER 12 noon....
This is a heads up...
The San Juan pier is a mad house and totally disorganized when disembarking...All luggage is thrown together in a HUGE room the size of a football field..Make sure you tied a colorful ribbon on ALL suitcases so you can find then easier..They will NOT necessarily be all together when you get off ship....

Actually, when we had an early flight, out luggage was NOT put with all the rest. We kept it and they took it in the morning as we debarked well before anyone else. Check with the cruise line. I'm sure they all do things differently.

I found this to be somewhat disorganized. We were the last ones to get off the ship since we did not have an early flight. This increased our chances for someone to take my husbands luggage by mistake. It was realized but waiting for them to contact us never happened. We had to pursue the hunt. It was at the airport, in a holding room. We eventually got it back but what a pain in the ----. Be sure to tag it or insist on keeping it with you. When they call out a certain group to get off the ship just leave even if it isn't your number. They don't know or check. Just leave as soon as you can disembark. That would be my advice. And tag your lugguage with a distinct ribbon.
