We just returned from an 8 night stay at Sea Aquarium Resort. It is a combination hotel/timeshare. We are not owners and went there as a transfer in April 2005. It was so pleasant that we reurned from a 8 night stay on Jan. 14th.( 8 months later)
It is well run, very well maintained with a very pleasant staff. I would take a suite vs. a room for you have 900+ sq.ft. with a full kitchen so breakfast is easy and on days you hang around there you can have lunch at your dinette table or at the lounge.. There is a market 3 miles from the resort with 75% of what you will need or 99% of what you want 6 miles away.
It is well located and for 2 gueets in a suite it is just bit not elegant.
The best snorkeling ubfortunately is on the other side of the island-West End- has many small beaches.
It is a wonderful resort. Very quiet, very well maintained. It has a good restaurant on the property. We were there in February, and we are booked for next February! I would agree that the 1 bedroom suite is very reasonable and nice. Good luck!
