Avid snorkelers going to Curacao early Feb. Hilton or Marriott preferred for value/service? Any recommended snorkel spots? Concerned about calm seas. Have been to Culebra, Anguilla, St Maarten this time of year and could not snorkel several days due to winds/choppy sea. Where else can we go?

Can not address the choppy water issue. We went in October & found the water did get a bit choppier as the day went on, so we snorkeled early in the morning. It didn't get so choppy that you couldn't snorkel though. The marriott is definitly the way to go. Their customer service was great, rooms were nice and the beach was incredible! The best snorkeling was right on their beach just feet from our lower floor room. We had the very best time!
The Marriott is wonderful- a few dyas it was slightly choppy in front of the hotel- we rented a car and went to a local beach and snorkeled in crystal clear "postcard" calm waters- the amount and types of live coral is amazing- ask the Marriott Concierge for beach/snorkeling recommendations. Lovely people, great time, we plan to go back soon.
