Good day all,
I've seen a few snippits referring to the noise at Mary's Boon. From my google earth pictures, it appears that the Horny Toad is right next to that place, but I haven't heard anyone reference noise there.
So is the Toad noisy? How bad is it in the area?
Thanks in advance!!!

I love the Horny Toad. It is comprised of apartments with full kitchens and its own beach. The best part is the owner Betty Vaughn (though she is not there year round). You need a car to get around but you can walk to the market and a wonderful bakery. That said it is noisy because it is near there airport so there is noise from the planes. It didn't bother me or my friends (I have stayed there 3 times) but it may bother you. Mary's Boon is a little bit closer to the airport but not so much as to make a difference if that is the noise you are concerned with.
I often stay at a friend's house which is almost directly across the street from Horny Toad. You will have aircraft noise off and on during the day and up to maybe 10 p.m., but it's not constant.
The smaller planes aren't bothersome, it's only the jets that can be quite loud. So, basically, we just plug our ears mid-conversation every now and then for a minute until they pass. The main jet noise will be mid-day between noon and 5 p.m. Take-offs are really what you hear, moreso than landings.
I've honestly never felt is was much of an issues staying on that block since it's not constant.
