Honeymoon to Jamaica or Riviera Maya
I have been to Mexica a few times. The last time I went there I stayed at Secret Silversands and loved everything about it. For my Honeymoon I was considering just going back to secret silversands bc we like it so much. I love the food there, the staff, the rooms, how relaxing it is, the adult only, its not very crowded and parties all the time. But my travel agent is suggesting Jamaica and staying at the Dunns resort and spa. I just want a place that has good food, nice staff, clean, and relaxing. Im scared to try somewhere other than Secret Silversands, but I might be missing something better. Any suggestions?

I haven't been to the Mayan Riviera side yet but I've been to Jamaica 3 times and Mexico 25 times.
Speaking in the most general terms, I find Mexico to be more fun, cleaner, local people are much friendly and more welcoming to tourists, and it's less scary feeling than Jamaica.

Thank you for your suggestions! The travel agent said this dunn resort and spa in Jamaica alot of honeymooners love it. The other thing is we are going in December and wonder where would be better weather. I heard the same things about Jamaica. .how it is nice but mexico cleaner and nicer people.

December will be great weather both places, in that they are similar.
Actually I loved Negril Jamaica, it's very laid-back and low-key. When I go to Jamaica, that's the only place I'm interested in.
The people in Mexico (my experience is limited mostly to Puerto Vallarta, and also Cabo and La Paz on the Baja) have always been warm, friendly, welcoming. They are very proud of their tourist industries and work hard to make them the best. In Jamaica the locals (again speaking in wide generalities) seem to have a chip on their shoulder and are not particular happy to have tourists around is the attitude.
If you are just going to go to one place, stay at an AllInclusive resort, and never leave the property, maybe all this matters less.

There are so many adult only AI's in The Riveria Maya/Playa del Carmen area. If you like that area so much, just try a different AI resort. I've been to that area multiple times though I have not stayed at any of the Secret's resorts. Secrets Maroma is highly rated.
I have stayed at the Jewell Dunn's River resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and I rate it 2nd best to the Royal Playa del Carmen resort that we have stayed. I agree I'm not that fond of Jamaica. We have been twice and have no future plans of returning. The locals are quite aggressive and walking off a resort there is not recommended. However, we have done many tours on our 2 trips and the topography is awesome. You might look at the Secrets resort in Montego Bay since you like that chain so much.
Sometimes I'm weary when travel agents recommend specific destinations and resorts. It may be because they are getting a commission and not necessarily looking at what you are really wanting.
