I am planning a honeymoon to the Caribbean Aug 9 through Aug 15, 2010, and really do not know where to begin to look, so I will describe what we both want for our trip. Hurricanes could potentially strike during this time, so anywhere that does not frequently get hit by storms is a plus. Ideally, we would like to stay at a location that has private villas/cottages on a nice beach (not necessarily beach-front, but a nice ocean view would be preferred), but we also would like access to a pool. All-inclusive is important, but not necessary depending on the price of the packages available. Good food is a plus. We would sacrifice the private cottage for a unique room that does not have your typical hotel-room feel, if the resort had awesome amenities to make up for it. Our total budget for the trip is around $4,000 including transportation (flying out of Charlotte, NC), but again, this can vary depending on what we will get out of the honeymoon. Please help with any suggestions!

Since you "don't know where to lokk" I suggest you begin your research by using the "Destinations" link at the top of this page. Click through to the Caribbean and there you'll find descriptions of all of the major islands. They all offer something different and no one island "has it all". Reading the material will help you narrow your choices down to a few islands whose amenities most appeal to you. You can then start looking at resorts and hotels on those islands that fit your budget. Pretty soon you will have identified YOUR PLACE IN THE SUN.
No one can guarantee you a hurricane free vacation in August however the odds of encountering one are relatively small. The further south you go the less chance of a hurricane. Many people consider Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao to be "Outside the hurricane belt". While this is not an iron clad fact, hurricanes in those islands are extremely rare. Barbados is another island that is not frequented by huricanes.
Destinations that are noted for "All-Inclusives" include the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Antigua, some of the Bahamas, Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Cozemel. While you'll find AI's on some of the other islands there are no where near as many as on the islands mentioned. Some non-AI resorts do offer meal plans so that could be an option for you.
