Honeymoon Help!!
Hello everyone and thank you for a little insight. We are getting married mid October of 17' and will have 2 weeks vacation. We want to split up the trip and are unsure of where we should go so please any input or advice would be awesome.
Budget: We have a max budget of $10,000. We are not looking to blow it away so if we can save money then by all means lets. We have been saving for a while and realize we only get one.
What do we like to do: We love to relax on a beach with cocktails and enjoy ourselves for some days Then we like to mix it up and be very adventurous such as hiking, climbing, cruising, snorkeling LOVE waterfalls and appreciating nature. I love to cook and we love to eat lol We don't like paying hundreds of dollars for dinners because I can cook the same thing from our grocery store for fractions.
What we don't want: We do not want the touristy islands but at the same time we want an island developed enough to give us the romantic honeymoon feel. We want to avoid cruise ships and huge ports where if we are on a nice walk through a market or town we do not want herds of people getting in our way.
What I know: We absolutely LOVE St. Lucia from what we have read and seen online. We will be flying out of Miami and understand that many of the islands down there are accessible by ferry or direct flights.
Please help us have the most amazing honeymoon possible by recommending either Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica or Guadeloupe as another stop. If you have other suggestions please let us know. A little description of these islands if you have been there would be wonderful as well. Something that has great beaches with great adventure is perfect. I have been trying to read about islands but they all seem similar with what to offer. We love animals too so any island where you can snorkel with sea turtles would be really cool.
Thank You Thank You guys very much!!!

I think Grenada would be a good choice for you. It has a good mix of beaches and nature. Grand Etang national park is gorgeous and has hiking, nature, waterfalls. We visited wonderful gardens but I can't remember the name. St Georges is the colorful capital and is known for its spice markets. There are many wonderful restaurants around the island. With two weeks you should look into possible sailing/ferry connections to other nearby islands in the chain.

Have you found anything good?
My fiance and I are looking at a similar trip for our honeymoon. We thought we'd do an "adventure" week in Aruba and a "relax" all-inclusive week in St. Lucia but the airfare back and forth to the states kills it.
