Help with Turks & Caicos Hotel choice/time of year to visit
Hi everyone! I am hoping to get some help for a Turks & Caicos trip. My husband and I are both in our early 30's and have been on 3 cruises to the Caribbean. We fell in love with Grand Turk, but would like to plan a vacation to the Grace Bay area. We both love the water, snorkeling, water sports, relaxing on the beach & by the pool, visiting the spa, tasty dinners, drinks outside, enjoying a sunset.
The Seven Stars Resort was recommended to us and after researching it, we felt it would be a great choice. Would you all recommend it? Any other favorite resorts in this area?
Because of our work schedules we are able to take a trip sometime within this Dec 27 until Jan 4th or March 15th-22nd 2014. Which would be a better time to visit?
Should we rent a car? Any restaurant recommendations??
Thank you!! Any help would be much appreciated!!

I also know The Seven Stars Resort can be pretty expensive during these times. Are there any other resorts that are nice, but may be a little cheaper during this time just to compare??

Dec 27 will be the most expensive dates for all the resorts, up to 3 times as much.
March is Canadian Spring Breaks, still peak season, but still more affordable.
Seven Stars is amazing! One of my favs. Call directly, ask for Yngrit, see what is the best possible deal. Sometimes on Facebook too if you like their page you'll get specials not found anywhere. (Or ask Yngrit if there are any FB specials)
Grace Bay is much nicer than any beach in Grand Turk! You'll love it there, sounds like it clicks all of your wants.
If you really can't make up your mind, call Turksandcaicosreservations.tc, ask for Susan or Val. They are on island and keep in touch with all the resorts for specials, etc. This is great if you need a couple of suggestions, they look for you.
But if you are "sold" on Seven Stars call them direct to Yngrit.

Also check out The Somerset www.thesomerset.com We stayed next door at Regent Palms for our Honeymoon a few years ago--loved the Palms but visited Somerset. Stayed there the next few trips--fantastic resort. Seven Stars is a great location BUT Somerset is nicer IMO. Eat at Coco Bistro, Bay Bistro, Mango Reef, Magnolia, Caicos Cafe, LeBouchon, Lupo Hemmingways ( more Casual)

Was just at Grace Bay a couple of weeks ago, and stayed at Villa del Mar. It's just across the street from Grace Bay club, which is next to Seven Stars. Great location in general, lots of restaurants, etc. within walking distance, and a wonderful stretch of beach. Villa del Mar was much cheaper since it's not directly on the beach. But they do have their own section of beach with chairs, umbrellas, towels and bar service, you just have to walk a few hundred extra feet, through Grace Bay Club. Much cheaper than either Grace Bay Club or Seven Stars, though both of those resorts looked excellent.
