Help with Punta Cana
Looking for a great resort for a couple and a 3 year old. We have looked into Breezes, and it looks good. How about Occidental Grand Flamenco,Iberostar and Paradisus? Is it okay to go in Oct. or November?

Hi There,
I have been checking into this for a while. I have been told that the Riu Taino Resort os very nice(all inclusive) but you also get to use 3 other resorts which I like!!! I am debating on Breezes to because of there good reputation. Let me know what you decide. Thanks and Good Luck

I've been to Natura Park in Punta Cana in November. You must remember that the days are short, so don't be surprised when the sun goes behind the horizon by 5:00. Otherwise, the weather is absolutely perfect. Have also been to Paradisus (in May), which was incredible. If you have any particular questions, please let me know and I'd be glad to answer.

Karin, am also looking into Paradisus for the spring. Was at Paradisus Costa Rica and absolutely loved it. Would love to hear your view and their Punta Cana location. Please email me at [email protected].
Thanks, Lisa

Tahank you for your replies. I would love to find out more about the PAradisus, and there Kids club. The website says very little. Does anyone know what he age groups are for the Kids club and what it includes? How are the rates compared to Breezes?

We stayed at Breezes in February '03. The debbiesdominican website has many good reviews, including mine in archives. Breezes just took over in December '02, so improvements may have been made. The rooms are rather plain, but the resort itself is wonderful and it is right at the of PC beach, so you can walk for miles north of the resort and pass no other resorts. The food was very good, with lots of choices and the buffet restaurant is casual. Activities - lots and the pool is huge with a great shallow area for small children to play around in. The ocean has very mild waves, which is probably good with a small child.

I am looking for a resort also that has childrens programs. So far what I find looks good is the Paradisus and even the Casa de Campo in DR. The Iberostar seems to also rank up there. Club Med was a consideration but does not look like it would have the accomodations that I need. We would need a villa/condo as we have children ranging in ages 3-16.
Good Luck. Reading reviews on "Debbies" sit seems to be helpful as well as this one.
