Help me with my Turks & Caicos honeymoon!

I've been researching the Turks and Caicos for MONTHS and I just can't pull the trigger on where to stay for my honeymoon for a week toward the end of September. I've never been. I'm definitely looking to splurge a bit. I'm looking for romance, peace & quiet, a little bit of sightseeing, and one round of golf. I prefer a "smaller" resort, but Seven Stars keeps tugging at me. I have to book!!!
I love the Gansevoort, but wonder if it's "too far" away from all the action of Grace Bay? Definitely my number 1 for style of room. I'm looking for an oceanfront suite of some sort. If I could pick it up and move it closer I'd book it in an instant. Are my concerns warranted or does it not matter?
Loving the Windsong and it's a great price point. Love that it's close to Somewhere Café and love the pool area, the fact that it's near the reef, the free watersports, bikes, etc. I guess the drawback is that food isn't that great? But LOVE the apparent size of it - I like the boutique feel. I guess it's about one star less than some of the others.
Seven Stars - Too big? They just got a great ranking in Travel & Leisure. There are junior suites available but not one bedroom. Do you have to hike to get everywhere in the resort? Waiting for elevators and walking down long hallways?
Sands at Grace Bay? Too dated? Too many kids?
Grace Bay Club - worth the splurge???? Gorgeous but definitely at the top of my price point.
Please help. Those are really the resorts I've narrowed it down to. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thank you thank you, Alli Kiehle

Here's my take on some of the resorts you mention: If you're serious about peace and quiet, I don't think you'll be happy at The Gansevoort. It's an uber-trendy hotel with constant club music 24/7 in most of the public areas. The only place you can get away from that is at the beach.

The beach is absolutely gorgeous - it's at the quiet end of Grace Bay- but you will need a rental car or taxi to get anywhere, and taxis are quite expensive.

Windsong is lovely, however the beach comes and goes according to the tides. If you don't mind that, it can be a wonderful place to stay b/c the suites are top-of the line and nicer than Seven Stars) and the pool, although smaller than Seven Stars isn't as mobbed.

No reason why you have to eat on site unless you're taking a meal plan? There are tons of excellent restaurants in Provo.

Seven Stars has got a great location in the center of Grace Bay, so it's close to everything. It feels like an upscale Hyatt to me, not so much a boutique hotel, and can be insanely crowded at the beach and pool during peak holiday weeks.

I don't know much about Grace Bay Club, so can't comment on that.

We have stayed many times at both West Bay Club and The Venetian, which is across the street from the golf course. If you are interested in either of these properties, post again.

BTW, if you are really going end of September which is still hurricane season, think about taking out travel insurance.

I second the Somerset. Each room is a suite with a full kitchen- get the Sterling House villas or above. Get a balcony with view. Very quiet pool and beach. Good service but not stuffy and no one hovers over you. We rented a car at the airport. The Somerset has free parking and we could come and go as we please to various restaurants. Make sure to check out Taylor Bay.

I agree that the Gansevoort, though gorgeous, is not quiet nor peaceful.

The Regent Palms was next door to us. I didn't stay there but it looks amazing. You should check that out.

I was underwhelmed by the rooms at Seven Stars.

Thank you so much for the responses. While I appreciate all your comments, I ended up booking the Windsong and feel really, really good about the decision. They have already been so helpful and kind!
And we did purchase travel insurance, though fingers crossed we won't have to use it.

You need a car if at Windsong, do not walk at night from Windsong

Windsong is next to SOMEWHERE CAFE, which has a really lively bar, and OK Mexican food ( food used to be much better). Still, a very nice place to hang out, especially at sunset!

And yes, unfortunately I agree that you should not walk the beach after dark, unless you're just going next door to SOMEWHERE.
