If anybody has been to either island, we would love some feedback!
We are looking for a great hotel with wonderful rooms/Spa/Room service as well as beautiful beaches. We are interested in great dinners, shopping and island activities (golf, tennis, snorkeling, sailing).
We are considering Cap J. and Isle de France, does anybody have any other suggestions?
Help! Honeymoon in Anguilla or St. Barts?

I've stayed 3 times on St. Barts & 8 or 9 times in Anguilla. No golf on either island; virtually no shopping in Anguilla. Malliouhana in Anguilla has a brand new state of the art spa but Cap is lovely & has excellent spa services available. St. Barts is lush & mountainous with a town; good shopping; nice beaches. Anguilla is flat, arid & scrubby with 33 gorgeous beaches and nearly 80 restaurants, many of them as fine as you'd find anywhere. Very little to do in Anguilla except chill out, "beach it", dine, drink, etc. I think it & its people are very special. We used to split our trips between the 2 -- they're a nice contrast & the island hopping is fairly painless (the last time we did this, we had breakfast in Anguilla, went to St Martins to pick up one of the kids & had lunch there & flew to St Barts where we had a lovely dinner -- 3 meals; 3 islands. It was kinda cool.
In my (very biased) opinion you've chosen 2 of the best possible destinations in the Caribbean for a honeymoon. They're quite different, but most people would be thrilled with either experience.
As MaryD implied, if you're really torn between the two it's possible to stay at both. Depends on how stressed you become when it comes time to pack up and move.
Great choices, though.
I think it really depends on what you like. St. Barts has beautiful beaches, great food, and a bit more of a "scene" with regard to nightlife/shopping. The topography is hillier and therefore can be slightly more breathtaking with regard to views, etc. It also is very neat and tidy and not as "Caribbean" to an American eye. Anguilla on the other hand is flat and scrubby, but also has gorgeous beaches. Not too much to do but if you're looking to relax you won't find a better place. It's small so although there's not much of a "scene" it's very easy to get into the groove of the island and meet people. And it's much easier to meet local people here - people are very friendly and welcoming. Although at St. Barts a lot of people speak English when necessary there is definitely a language thing. It's more hoity-toity and not as warm. After several trips, we prefer Anguilla but they're both great.
