Planning a honeymoon. Opinions on Cayman Islands. Not set on that island and haven't read a lot of good stuff about it. We are in our 20's and looking for, of course, "the perfect place." fun, sun, beaches, sunrises, sunsets, romance, ... need some direction from those who have been there! Thanks so much.

Olivia,<BR>Can you be a little more specific in exactly what your looking for?? I'm a frequent Cayman traveler and can help if you give me a bit more info. All islands have the "fun, sun, beaches, etc. If your looking for a party island, Grand Cayman isn't it! If your looking to snorkel, dive, beach and water sports, it could be the perfect <BR>island! Do you want a hotel, all-inclusive, condo ?? Do you want sightseeing, just relaxing ?? Please, more info!<BR>Sandy

Well, we're not looking for a "party island." We like water sports and snorkeling. Would like some sightseeing, falls, hiking, rafting, rainforests (to explore) not stay there! Were thinking all inclusive because we wouldn't have to worry about spending while were there, but it's not a must be all inclusive. Not a family/lots of kids destination. Thanks for helping!

You would enjoy Jamaica. I've heard a lot of good things about St. Kitts too. Check them out and see what you think.

Congrats on your upcoming marriage!<BR><BR>How about Grenada? They have waterfalls, hiking, nature trails, tropical forests, snorkeling. <BR>I've been to Grand Cayman and they definitely don't have that lush environment Grenada has (all from researching!). I don't think Grenada is a family oriented island.<BR><BR>I'll be in Grenada in a few weeks so, if you want, I can post here after my trip to let you know.<BR>

I would recommend Grand Cayman- i think its an incredibly romantic place. The beaches are gorgeous- white sand, beautiful blue/green water, miles of beauty. BUT- there arent any mountains and its not a very lush island; no rainforest; not many places to hike. But, the snorkeling is fabulous (Eden Rock) and the diving is one of the best in the world. Its a quiet island, which is why i find it romantic, but there are certainly many things to do at night, such as candlelit dinners or local hangouts. Its an expensive island, but i would say very much worth it. Good luck and congratulations!

Hi Olivia: I would check out the Sandals Resorts which are all-inclusive and I believe that includes all water sports. <BR><BR>Based on your "exploring" criteria, I would suggest Sandals Golf Resort in St. Lucia (as opposed to Sandals Halcyon, also in St. Lucia, which I heard has an older crowd) or Sandals Negril in Jamaica. <BR><BR>I absolutely love all-inclusives and wouldn't do it any other way. Sandals is a bit more pricey than most other all-inclusives so if you're looking for something a little less expensive, they're out there too.
