Ok I've started a few forums and have received some great advice but now I'm thinking my choice might be too laid back and quite....can't believe I'm saying that!! I don't know if there is a resort out there that I'm looking for. I had it between 3 places, liitle Dix bay VG, very nice villa in VG or a great house in Turks and Caicos. I know VG is not a place to find night life and I heard the same about T&C. I would love to find a resort that was 5 star, great beach, great pool with some night life close around. We all are in our 40-50s and want to have a good time. Any suggestions ?

What time of year? What little night life might be dead depending on when!
Love both islands, spectacular.
In Turks and Caicos check out Gansevoort. Gorgeous modern resort, very chic. Close to 5 star(although that doesn't really exist in Caribbean only maybe a couple of resorts qualify for this). Nice beach bar, huge blow up tv screen on the beach for sports.
Another one to check out is Seven Stars. Gorgeous resort, and has some mellow nightlife, live lounge type music at dinner on the Deck beach bar about 4 nights a week. Beach BBQ on Sunday's.
But most places get quiet by around 10, even in season. You could always get a night pass tocClub Med, but it's raunchy nightlife, basically a cheesy show and then "disco" until the wee hours. Weekends might be a little better, and many end at the small casino, but most weeknights are mellow with the lounge live music.
Even without it, I've been to most Caribbean islands. The 2 you've picked are 2 favorites, and end up not missing the nightlife. All restaurants are outdoors with great settings, although mellow, it's quite comfortable.
For nightlife, you'd need to pick St. Martin, Aruba, Mexico.
But as an overall vacation, your 2 choices are far superior! In my opinion of course.
We love The Somerset on TCI . www.thesomerset.com You can walk to many great restaurants--quiet island but, still fun !
Thanks!!!
We are traveling first week in December. 2 of the couples traveled to T&C last September and stayed at the Gansevoort and loved it but said it was really quite, but it was hurricane season so that might of been why. We as a group will have fun anywhere we go but thought having a option to go somewhere fun for a night would be great! The villa I'm looking at is Aquamare in VG. Then there's little Dix bay. In Turks it's a beautiful house on grace bay with all the amenities. I've been to ST.John ,caneel bay and love it, but not so much for a big group. I would love to go back because of the ease of getting there but don't want to deal with driving our own jeep around.. Don't want to worry about drinking and driving.
Question...We are traveling from charlotte Nc we can fly into ST. Thomas or San Juan. I hear in December the water can be choppy...what's the best way to get to virgin gorda? Is it worth the trip for only 5 nights? Turks is a straight shot as well as usvi. Help....
Blamona....if you had to pick. What would it be??
